25.09. – 17.10.2021

Sven Herrmann, the founder of the Stiftung Reinbeckhallen, has been collecting art for over thirty years. His private collection includes a wide selection of paintings, photographs, sculptures, and works on paper by artists from around the globe. To offer our visitors the chance to learn more about this collection and his collecting practice, the Stiftung Reinbeckhallen will be exhibiting a selection of works from the Herrmann Collection in its Project Space this coming fall. More specifically, it will be showing recently acquired C-prints and vintage black and white photographs taken by fourteen photographers working across photographic genres between the late 1940s and mid-2000s.

The exhibition will include photographs by Sibylle Bergemann, Christian Borchert, Ulrich Burchert, Angèle Etoundi Essamba, Arno Fischer, Jürgen Graetz, Harald Hauswald, Max Jacoby, Karol Kállay, Loretta Lux, Will McBride, Uwe Steinberg, Zdeněk Tmej, and Brigitte Voigt.
