In this workshop, participants will address the topics of discrimination and violence, engaging with and reading messages on shirts of affected women across Germany. Written in red permanent marker, these messages are irritating, disturbing, and powerful. In addition to working with these shirts, participants will discuss thematic installations in the Exhibition Hall and watch videos of women from different countries telling their stories.
All participants are invited to listen, to take a stand, and to see and understand themselves not only as being addressed, questioned, and challenged, but also as being challengers and actors. Demanding basic rights, such as freedom, equality, and inclusion, is something that those involved in WOMEN IN THE DARK stand for.
The workshop will be documented and a video, a RESONANCE of voices, will be made available in the Exhibition Hall.
This workshop is free and will be held in German and English.
