Between 2004 and 2006, British photographer Paul Graham travelled across the United States and documented scenes of everyday life. Taken while walking on the streets of residential neighbourhoods, the sidewalks of bustling cities, and near motorways, his colour photographs speak to the mundane moments, individuals, architecture, and natural landscapes that caught his attention during his meanderings.
Arranged in a series of 12 photobooks, first published by Steidl in 2007 and then by MACK in 2018, in an often poetic, fluid manner, allowing for multiple readings and associations to be made, Graham’s photographs will be exhibited in the Project Room of the Stiftung Reinbeckhallen for the first time. The latter edition of a shimmer of possibility will complement these photographs.
This exhibition is the first in a series that will regularly feature works from the collection of the Stiftung Reinbeckhallen.
The fourth edition of the Pantopia Festival and the Schöneweider Brückenfest will take place in and around the Reinbeckhallen on the first weekend in July. Coinciding with these events, the exhibition will be open during the following times: July 6 – 8, 2023 | 2-6 PM
