Typefaces say more than words. They can trigger feelings, evoke ideas, and convey attitudes. In this workshop, children and young people will delve into the history of print using type specimen books from the period after 1900.
Children and young people from the age of 9 discover mysterious signs in the writing systems of old cultures in the Neues Museum and bring their pictures to life. Whether one-winged elf creatures or lines in the landscape – we create new characters and make them the main characters of our own story in a photo series, a film production or in a flip book.
